The bajoran that was with Wesley in the academy, she lied during their trial surrounding the death of her team member during an unauthorized and dangerous shuttle piloting maneuver in an earlier episode.
The following year she was exiled to Mars, where she grew an extra boob

IIRC that was the intent for her role, a quirky engineer as a love interest for geordi. But apparently their dynamics didn’t work out and she got dropped
