Chaotic neutrals wya?! Especially when I was using a Mac for work with ShiftIt
Due to a mistake I made, I'm chaotic good instead of neutral good. Current set-up is a 27" 1080p HDMI on the left, and 24" 1080p VGA on the right. Not too much in a hurry to replace my smaller monitor though, I need to upgrade my graphics card first to allow for a HDMI-HDMI configuration at least.
Not a programmer, but I run Neutral Good + Lawful Neutral at the office, because my work issued a docking station with two symmetrical monitors, but they also issued me a laptop instead of a desktop, so what am going to do, not use the third monitor?
So, it's ugly, but it works since I either put baseball on one of the big monitors or Spotify on the laptop, and work on the other two.
Chaotic good but I REALLY vibe with that chaotic evil
I'm on the third Z axis of this chart
two screens same size to the front, laptop on a riser to my left, at a right angle, third, smaller screen to the left of that connected to a second laptop
Lawful Neutral + Chaotic Evil...
I have so many screens...
I'm a combination of neutral good and lawful neutral. 2 identical monitors + laptop.
What makes a person turn neutral-neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?
Honestly, these days I just work directly on my laptop. Get to use touchpad gestures which is nice, grilling my hands under CPU load maybe less nice.
It's usually enough to just alt+tab between my IDE and browser, so my workflow hasn't suffered much.
Neutral good for personal. Lawful good for work.
Lawful neutral, though my laptop is up on a stand to bring it to the height of the monitor, so maybe chaotic good?
Chaotic neutral isn't that bad when you're doing programming since the extra vertical space is really convenient.
I've been lawful neutral ever since the pandemic forced work from home.
My setup isn't featured, but it's basically neutral good with the laptop below it in the middle.
Chaotic Neutral, if you align the secondary monitor right Everything Works™
Somewhere between chaotic neutral & chaotic evil here.
One of a pair as portrait, the other as landscape; laptop left-aligned with landscape & base-aligned with portrait for an appropriately unholy trio.
I also use workspaces and screen sessions for maximal WTFery.
Hey my old monitor setup isn't here.
Main display is normal with a laptop underneath, a vertical display to the left with a laptop display on the bottom under the first monitor
I'm off the chart. I have 2 mismatched monitors - a 27" and 34", and the 34 one is an ultrawide. It's wider than the other, but their bezels still line up.
What about square screens?
inb4 chaotic neckpain
I'm at Chaotic Neutral, but my sim racing rig is Lawful Evil, so combined I guess it becomes Chaotic Evil.
And I love it.
I'm both chaotic good and lawful neutral, depending if it's for my job or not. I suppose that's a fair assessment of the difference between my professional character and home character.
Ultimate Pure here with a single monitor. Because I know how to position windows and use such cutting edge modern features as RESIZING and ALT-TAB. Woo!
Multimonitor makes my neck hurt.
I find them super useful when screen sharing in a meeting because you can just share the secondary display and all your other crap (and notifications!) can stay on the main display.
We have neutral evil at my work and it sometimes hurts my soul.
i have chaotic neutral right now -- would it be insane to have the middle monitor be vertical then the side be horizontal? i usually use the horizontal for videos or sports but that makes more sense off to the side, then vertical is great for scrolling
I have chaotic neutral setup for quite a while. Like 15 years lol. The vertical started out as a monitor for the Photoshop palettes and this kind of stuff. Then it became the monitor for checking websites in 1024px and nowadays it's mostly terminal windows. I love to have a great scope of output in the viewport.
That's how I run my work setup. Ide on center monitor, documentation on the right, media and chat on the left.
At work I have chaotic neutral but I slot my laptop underneath the landscape screen so it fits snugly in the corner.
I'm neutral impoverished.
