Nice two first two rows, with for different teams. Love it!

Edit: even better: 6 different teams at the first 3 rows :)

Super happy to see the two Williams making it to Q3

Norris πŸ‘πŸ‘

Albon πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ mega effort

Ferraris are looking strange today. Locking up and sliding eveywhere

That's what.. someone said.

[–] espentan@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Albon and that Williams really love these conditions, on this track.

I'm so happy to see McLaren making a strong showing after the last few years. Excluding Redbull, I think the second half of the season is theirs to lose.

Sainz, realizing McLaren will be a threat, tries to innocently take them out. Clever.

Edit: Well, right now Ferrari are only a threat to themselves.

Leclerc has about had it with Ferrari..

[–] Nighed@sffa.community 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

When is he out of contract?

[–] espentan@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] bhmnscmm@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Were those rumors about his post 2024 Ferrari contract several weeks ago ever confirmed?

[–] BobKerman3999@feddit.it 2 points 1 year ago

I think they said he had options to opt out

Shortest Q3 debut for anyone?

Edit: couldn't find stats. I remember at least one driver crashing in Q2 but making it through for the first time though.

[–] Gsicht@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

That heli cam with the speed information is fantastic!

Both Williams in Q3!

[–] TheProtagonist@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Why did they take out Lewis that early? Did they think β€œP9 is safe, good enough” while there were still drives on the course?

[–] frank@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 year ago

He pushed his second to last lap. I don't know why they didn't do another warm up and push on the last one. Weird call

[–] bhmnscmm@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Maybe rain will come during the red flag and Williams will lock out the front row? Please? I'm desperate.

[–] BaskinRobbins@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Is this the first Q2 for Sargeant?

[–] gitpsuh@programming.dev 5 points 1 year ago

Alex Jacques just said this is his 3rd Q2 appearance

[–] espentan@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

I was wondering the same thing.. think it might be.

Edit: 3rd time, apparently.

[–] Sentau@lemmy.one 2 points 1 year ago

Damn verstappen always pulls shit out of the bag when it is needed. Also piastri bungeled it when it mattered the most

[–] hal_5700X@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Both Williams made it into Q3. Lets go!

[–] bhmnscmm@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I feel like I'm watching a nature documentary with all these super close ups.

Good shit Sargeant

Watching the on-board camera at this track is so cool. It really shows how big some of the hills are.

[–] greyfrog@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Yeah I get what they mean when they say it's a rollercoaster.

[–] gitpsuh@programming.dev 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] bhmnscmm@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

We're definitely going to see some in Q3

[–] gitpsuh@programming.dev 1 points 1 year ago

So the intermediate runners got away with the dodgy call then, since nobody apart from Albon got a good lap in on the softs

[–] BaskinRobbins@sh.itjust.works 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

DC asking what a crane is called LOL
