Why does everything need to be a snap?

Packaging makes installation, isolation and dependencies easier. Snap is a type of package that is Ubuntu's favorite.

Would this make it easier to disable/uninstall the service? I have no need for cups and no need for the port to be wide open on all my machines. Am i going to have to remove this service again when they do make it a snap? Was making it a systemd service not enough of a pain?
