On another note, I'm trying to switch to Mastodon over Twitter and the experience has been rather pleasant.
Mastodon is incredibly pleasant so far in terms of community. I would highly recommend it.
How do you find people to follow on mastodon? It feels very isolated to me
You can try finding people via hashtags...
@Ephera @datavoid Since you can “follow” hashtags in your main Mastodon feed, they kind of act like channels. Also, for some theme-based servers, you can browse their local timelines.
