23% of Proud Boys and 30% of militia supporters said that violence (which we defined as “physical force strong enough that it could cause pain or injury to a person”) was usually or always justified ‘to stop people who do not share my beliefs from voting’”

How absolutely un-American.

Unfortunately, that line of attack doesn't work against Conservatives. Their brand of patriotism is a complete scam. They hate every facet of American society, especially civil rights, democracy, and individual freedoms. They want a straight, white, Christian monoculture/ethnostate, and their entire basis for this is a complete completely fabricated version of the past where America is the motherland for the white race.

They love freedom of speech and press, except by marginalized groups in schools and libraries, and not if you're sympathetic to communism. Any speech they don't like is banned.

They love freedom expression, except for drag, crossdressing, or wearing gender-affirming clothes. They support government-enforced dress codes.

They love gun rights, until the hand holding the gun has too much melanin in it. Those people are killed by the state, and they celebrate it.

Don't ever mistake it. The people rewriting history and pushing for authoritarianism are pretending to be patriotic. Their true ideology is Nationalism, and they fucking despise this country. They openly hold disdain for the foundations of this country, while pushing revisionist history that its founders were Christian Nationalists who wanted a Theocracy.

The reality is that Republicans know exactly what they stand for: A Fascist Dictatorship. Every single time they claim to be "defending" some pillar of this country, they are actually tearing it down. The election integrity efforts are just efforts to disenfranchise likely liberal voters. Efforts to "protect kids" from "transgenderism" are just driving up teen suicide rates. Efforts to protect the unborn are killing would-be mothers and reducing the birth rate. Efforts to enshrine "Parents Rights" is just an attack against our public schools, with the goal of giving parents fewer options in the future.

Calling them Republicans doesn't even make sense anymore. They are neo-Nazis. They're pushing Great Replacement conspiracy theories, starting Pogroms, illegally stripping people of their right to vote, threatening liberal voters with state & vigilante violence, telling their constituents to kill liberal protesters, celebrating murderers who kill liberals, and spewing disgusting lies about ethnix groups they don't like.

Oh I completely agree with you and my comment wasn’t meant for their eyes. It was simply my subjective assessment of that sentiment. I’m well aware those chucklefucks would see things differently. It’s why they’re Proud Boys after all.
