I didn't like Joplin when I had it synced via my NextCloud. Too many issues. Once I switched to a free Dropbox account... Never had an issue since. I love it

@techgearwhips @NeonBeal Yeah I find it hard to backup notes on #joplin locally on my device. Hence I decided to use #obsidian .

@Le0 @techgearwhips @NeonBeal I loved Joplin but ultimately I didn't want my family to deal with having to extract data from a database if something happened to me. #obsidian appealed to me because in the worst case, it is just text notes in a folder which are accessible without the app. However, since switching to obsidian, I have been pleasantly surprised with the possibilities the software offers.

Joplin desktop has an auto backup plugin that exports to the filepath you set it to
