Are you using firefox? I mean, does Ublockorigin on firefox help it?
As far as I understand it the block is only enforceable on chromium browsers. So firefox is unaffected.
I read the news about google wanting to do this some months ago, and I instantly switched to firefix from chrome. It was a very good decision.
Lol, my phone decided to do that about 1.5years ago, when I had it in my pocket and it deleted chrome (I have modded my phone, so I can delete ~every app I want). It was the push I needed to install Fennec (firefox from fdroid).😅 Otherwise I would be kinda reluctant. Since then I'm using firefox with ddgo on almost every device.😌
Try searx, more privacy respecting than ddgo and better search results
