An active user on Lemmy is "someone who has posted or commented on our instance or community within the last given time frame.” Source. That means lurkers are not counted as active users.

Might just be performance related? Are posts and comment threads loading slowly for you, by chance?
Yes, everything is loading very slowly. The voting doesn't seem like just slow loading, though. When I click the button nothing happens at all, with or without a delay.
I was having the same the other day, but sure enough the votes were going through eventually. A better pending indicator would be nice for sure.
