I never heard of this news outlet before, is it a trusted source?

[–] Jews4Palestine@lemmy.today 3 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (4 children)

Yes

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euro-Mediterranean_Human_Rights_Monitor

They're a 12 year long non-profit located in Switzerland and have Richard A. Falk as its head. They have a focus on giving young journalists a voice in the media.

Falk is an American Jewish professor who attended Yale and Harvard for his education and taught at Princeton, who has been advising the UN since 1967 on human rights matters relating to Palestine. You cannot ask for a higher quality and informed source on matters of Palestine than Falk.

Falk said: "Is it an irresponsible overstatement to associate the treatment of Palestinians with this criminalized Nazi record of collective atrocity? I think not." [...] "He has taken part in a UN fact-finding mission which determined that suicide bombings were a valid method of 'struggle'. He has disturbingly charged Israel with 'genocidal tendencies,' and accused it of trying to achieve security through 'state terrorism'. Someone who has publicly and repeatedly stated such views cannot possibly be considered independent, impartial or objective."

Wikipedia entry in Richard A. Falk

Ok....

Yes it is ok. Oppressed people are allowed to resist.

Every educated Jew holds highly critical opinions of Israels fascist ways, simply look at Einstein to see this view reflected:

When a real and final catastrophe should befall us in Palestine the first responsible for it would be the British and the second responsible for it the Terrorist organizations build up from our own ranks. I am not willing to see anybody associated with those misled and criminal people.

or

Should we be unable to find a way to honest cooperation and honest pacts with the Arabs, then we have learned absolutely nothing during our two thousand years of suffering and deserve all that will come to us.

My initial question was whether the source can be trusted. You answered it, the news outlet can't be trusted, they have a clear agenda. Thank you ;)

All news has an agenda.
