I'm craving community after the older autism spaces became unsafe or fractured. I'm 27F and I like BTS, tornadoes and collecting information into lists. I've been feeling very lonely since the other spaces became unhealthy and harmful. I'm very burned out these days and it's difficult to find things to be happy about.

Glad to have you :) unfortunately Lemmy is not really set up to be a casual conversation tool, it's a little hard to follow users. It's mostly used to chat about specific topics in specific threads on them.

I've been looking for more community as well, but it's hard to find. Everyone I meet locally just seems so different from me.

What "older autism spaces" do you mean? What kind of communities were these? What's BTS stand for?
