You can't use AI without replacing people in some aspect. If a developer is using AI to do the job of two people, that second person doesn't get hired. I'm not mad, it's just the way things are going to be now but anyone who says they aren't replacing people with AI is just looking for some good PR.

Or you have two much more productive developers... Not as black and white as you make it seem.

Or even just the same developer, but working less hours. Less likely, but possible.
