Please read the replies to the link i posted in this linked post. It highlights a lot of really upseting content that is pushing LGBT people away from this instance and makes people feel uncomfortable or unsafe in a safe space. Reminder a persons right to exist peacefully shouldn't be up for debate and they shouldn't be treated like they were by the commenter who replied to their comment.

Do we as LGBT stand for this type of behavior to our siblings and friends??

FWIW the community response seems strongly against this dEbAtE mE bRo Scheiße.

Bans are necessary when someone wants to debate the existence of trans people (or anyone).

IMO it seems pretty clear that mods+admins and the community basically told the person, in no uncertain terms, either to figure out that we don't put up with the "debate-me" nonsense or to fuck off. As a queer POC, I personally find seeing that community push-back vital in gauging whether or not I feel comfortable here.

I see. The pushback was good to see, but still seeing the comments and seeing other members consider leaving was what pushed me to act while calling out this stuff.
