I mean, it’s incredibly exaggerated, but there are plenty of stories of police missing clues that afterwards seem kind of obvious. But it’s a lot of hindsight bias
The Police who arrested the green River killer were pissed a guy that dumb got away with it for so long.
i bet the community was a bit miffed as well
at least his victims didn't complain as much
