There was something that just felt wrong about the sync app thread in one of the lemmy.world communities. Just post after post of "yay, it's like having reddit back again." Reddit can fuck off. I like the novelty and slight roughness around the edges.

To you old people angry at changes: is it illegal to enjoy stuff? Is it not good that Lemmy attracts people from reddit? Sounds to me like good old conservatism

As an old person with opinions:

What's wrong with people sharing their opinions on a social media site? It's what we're all here for. If you're annoyed that so many different people have this opinion, well... Here we are. Sometimes discussion is one-sided and sometimes it's not.
