is edge even that bad compared to chrome?

Not really. Speaking from experience, because it comes with Citrix images and it's already integrated with necessary logins by admins so I usually stick to it. It's quite alright for normal use. Has some stuff that Chrome doesn't, like vertical tabs and webpage snapshots.

The vertical tabs, performance and integration are the things that keep me from enjoying other browsers.

It definitely is way better than it used to be years ago when it was just a internet expl🤮rer rebrand.
