Nintendo is the biggest asshole company, in this entire business. No other gaming company care less about their fans.

And some suckers still defend it with teeth and nails, in a way that makes me see them less as human beings and more as trained dogs owned by Nintendo. "Who's a good boy? You are! Yes, you are! Here's a treat!"
