I was convinced the recent sighting from u/plunderyedingy was something unusual until I saw the analysis from u/VCAmaster. While I thought the idea they were separated lights was an interesting hypothesis, I, like many of the commenters on that post, wasn’t fully convinced. I saw some people suggesting any variation was due to the fluctuation of the video compression. So, I took the raw footage into After Effects, stabilized it, boosted the contrast and added tracking markers to each light.

Some of the movement is definitely due to compression, but there is also separated movement. It can be seen especially at the beginning of the clip with the upper rightmost light, which “drifts” towards the others.

I found some videos of birds flying in V-formation at night which look extremely similar.

The luminance of the lights is also something seen with birds at night, if there is a nearby light source, as in the below videos. In a long video showing the location of the sighting, a residential area is shown, so it’s plausible there were neighborhood lights on. The tallest tree does look slightly more illuminated than the nearer foliage.

So, a flock of birds?

Not to be pessimistic about the hearing next week but how much can we really expect if we're hoping that people in the actual program will simply volunteer to testify? That hasn't been the case for 80+ years. At best we get people on the periphery of the subject and second hand witnesses. We need subpoenas.

If it's true and Congress has already been in talks with 40+ witnesses, then they likely already have lists of people of interest who they can pursue. Grusch even said he was capable of providing such lists in the last hearing. And allegedly Cheney is at the top.

If true keep in mind this man is 83 years old and in questionable health. If Congress wants answers they need to go after these kinds of people while they still can. The ones with the real info clearly have no interest in volunteering it, and many of them are getting old, and meanwhile we're doing these slow disclosure processes, meanwhile giving the program plenty of time to cover their tracks and interfere in the process.

I do think it's pertinent as the idea that China has beat us in reverse-engineering UAP-tech has been going around a lot lately.

Well aware that sourceless posts to 4chan can very likely be nothing, but figured it could be worth digging into, considering the "underwater base" post from last year that is making the rounds again thanks to Danny Sheehan's recent claims and coordinates about this base near Guadalupe Island off the coast of Baja California and its relationship to the Tic-Tac incident, an area that was already a focus during Lue Elizondo and Chris Mellon's 'Unidentified' History Channel show as well as the documentary A Tear in the Sky. And as stated in that 4chan post from last year, "I'm not here to convince anyone. You'll notice yourself coming back to these things I've said over time on your own as understanding increases."

In researching about Area 51, TTR, JANET flights, etc., I keep coming across the name "DET 1 AFEREG" in relation to Area 51 activities.

For example, some of the "Cammo Dudes" were deputized by a woman named "Nancy A. Martin" who uses a PO Box in Mercury, NV that is listed as belonging to "DET 1 AFEREG."

Additionally, some plane trackers have noticed that several JANET planes were listed in official documents as being owned by "DET 1 AFEREG."

Some have suggested that "DET 1 AFEREG" was an OLD name for what is now called "DET 3 AFFTC" which we know is the "official" name for Area 51 and which stands for "Detachment 3, Air Force Flight Test Center." But I disagree. I think "DET 1 AFEREG" is still in active use and refers to a detachment linked to Area 51, TTR, etc. besides DET 3 AFFTC.

Google the term "AFEREG" and you'll see a number of links suggesting the organization still exists and has recently ordered equipment, made hazardous materials usage reports, etc. There was even one job listing I found for a guy who said he was a "flight test engineer."

But what does "DET 1 AFEREG" stand for? This I haven't been able to figure out, although some reasonable guesses can be made:

Obviously "DET 1" is "Detachment 1," and "AF" is "Air Force." It would be reasonable to think the "G" stands for "Group."

So we have "Detachment 1, Air Force __ __ __ Group."

Based on the guy saying he was a "flight test engineer" at the facility, and based on what we know about Area 51, TTR, etc., I'm guessing that AFEREG stands for some variation of:

"Detachment 1, Air Force Engineering Research and Evaluation Group."

I've tried Googling to see if such a group exists, and haven't found anything though.

What are your thoughts? What does AFEREG stand for?

Zodiac has been around for a while. It appears that it was changed again under Clinton and specifically while John Podesta was looking into the crash-retrieval reverse-engineering program. The name was interestingly found in the records of NARA at the same time that the Twining Memo was filed post-Roswell and the DoD, NSA, CIA, and others were created.

It's believed that MJ-12 went defunct in 1969 following the death of Allen Dulles, and that the tech going to the private sector via SAIC, which was founded that year.

I believe 1969 represents a shift in "how" the development of some components of a suspected NHI/UFO portfolio was being facilitated. As private interest began to leverage ERISA and other advantageous legislation/accounting principles to control the development of Aerospace and Defense, and as a result, peripheral sectors/industries.

They say that the name "Project Blue Book" is inspired by the utilization of "blue" books for authorities reporting.

I believe "Blue Book" is actually referring to the accounting principles and standards settled by the Military Departments, AEC, and more, when determining indirect costs, and those "indirect costs" were used to calculate the funding of research, acquisitions, and appropriations for the R&D of a suspected UFO/NHI tech portfolio.

Oct 29 – former senior DIA officer Dr. Lacatski and former AAWSAP program manager Dr. Kelleher assert their unwillingness to participate in upcoming UAP Hearings

In an interview with Robflei, Drs. Lacatski and Kelleher (who published the well-known 'Skinwalkers at the Pentagon') reasserted their unwillingness to testify at upcoming UAP hearings, suggesting that the risks involved (e.g. breaking industrial NDAs) are too high to justify transparency.

• Speaking with Askapol, Reps. Luna and Burchett indicated that the next UAP hearing is likely to come after the August recess. More recently, this UAP hearing has been confirmed for November 13th.
• The Sol Foundationis holding its second, 2024 symposium on November 22-23 in San Francisco

Beyond/currently unknown

• Following the UAP hearing on the 26th of July, Members of Congress have called for a select committee with subpoena authority, to “go about the task of collecting information from the Pentagon and elsewhere” on unidentified flying objects. There have been conflicting messages from various Members of Congress on whether this is likely to happen anytime soon. Note – a select subcommittee was formally requested on March 13th.
• Reps. Moskowitz, Luna, and Burchett have repeatedly stated their intent to hold field hearings to overcome stonewalling from the Pentagon and military establishment "I think we [Congress] should try to get into one of these places [housing UAP evidence]...and if they won't let us in I think we should have a field hearing right outside the building...and the military will have to explain why that is." – Rep. Moskowitz (D) It is currently unknown when exactly we might expect that to occur, however as of Jan 12 – Rep. Luna confirmed: "I feel confident that we have enough evidence to move forward with our first field hearing. We will be announcing details soon."
• Several journalists have indicated that first-hand witnesses of the alleged UAP legacy programs are in the process of providing testimony/evidence to the relevant authorities (e.g. the IC IG) and/or are on the verge of making public statements in the near future (Example 1, example 2, example 3, example 4)
• David Grusch has received additional clearances through DOPSR to discuss some of his (alleged) first-hand knowledge of Legacy programs. He has mentioned he may be covering more of this information in an upcoming Op-Ed

In August 2022, Dr. Garry Nolan, a Stanford University professor, began analyzing a 50-pound silver sphere owned by music promoter Jim Marlin, who claims it to be of extraterrestrial origin. • Page 1 of the slide has the classification level redacted. We've seen this before, but seems interesting to me that they are classifying the classification level. Maybe someone has more familiarity with this than I do and can add thoughts.
• Page 2 talks about UAP being a "safety of flight" and "national security" concern.
