Geoff Cruikshank, aka UFO subreddit legend u/harry_is_white_hot, just posted this 16-page paper (seven pages of proper text along with references, letter responses to his FOIA requests, and stills from the National Archives videos) to his LinkedIn regarding the Oct. 26, 1926 Bluegill Triple Prime first nuclear test in space, one that brought down a UAP.

I have the full .pdf of the document available here:

Geoff has been hot on this trail since still anonymous as u/harry on Grant Lavac's podcast with Ross Coulthart and from last year in which he talks about looking into this case more.

Ross Coulthart interviewed Cruikshank in his first public outing back in August for his Reality Check, which you can watch here:

After that episode aired, I cut the clip of Cruikshank talking about the Bluegill test together with the National Archives footage and Tom DeLonge talking with his co-author AJ Hartley about this test a couple of months prior. DeLonge basically says that "we brought down something else entirely from Roswell and it really made the government reevaluate what it knew about aliens."

Here's another supercut I made two weeks that compiled those clips alongside Diana Pasulka on Joe Rogan and Chris Sharp on Richard Dolan talking about bringing down UAPs with EMP.

Supporting Evidence for Bluegill Triple Prime UAP shootdown theory Geoff Cruickshank B.IT, M.IEEE

Industrial Automation and Security

Overview:

This research relates to the events surrounding the Bluegill Triple Prime nuclear test on 26 October 1962, in which both fully and partially declassified sections of U.S. Government footage clearly show an object tumbling out from within the nuclear fireball as evidence of a method of planetary defence against potentially hostile UAPs. The recovery operations of the object debris by elements of the United States Navy in attendance are documented in the vessel deck logs over the period of 26-31 October 1962.

Theories posited: Primary theory:

1. Inconsistencies between two or more U.S government organizations regarding declassification requirements has resulted in two separate Department of Energy pieces of high-speed footage being released to the public in 1998 that show unidentified anomalous phenomena tumbling out of the fireball of the Bluegill Triple Prime high altitude nuclear test on 26 October 1962.

Secondary theory:

1. Thirty-seven days prior to the Bluegill Triple Prime test, an unidentified object was also filmed following an Avco Mark 4 re-entry vehicle during the terminal re-entry phase of the Atlas 8F ICBM test in the Atlantic Missile Range for approximately 90 seconds. The post-flight test report clearly states that the objects’ “origin or identification could not be determined”. The Bluegill Triple Prime test also used the Avco Mark 4 re-entry vehicle, however in its case it was armed with the XW-50-X1 nuclear warhead. It is hypothesised that this device detonated at an altitude of 48km whilst the unidentified object was still following the RV, sending the object crashing into the Pacific Ocean 35km south of Johnston Island.

2. A well-known effect called thermo-mechanical spall caused by high energy X-rays was the primary factor in causing the terminal flight disruption of the UAP seen tumbling from the Bluegill Triple Prime fireball, through physical damage of the propulsion mechanism and / or flight surfaces.

3. The U.S. Navy successfully recovered debris from the Surface Zero area of the Bluegill Triple Prime test, according to the deck log entries of vessels involved in Operation Fishbowl. The location of where this debris was transferred to under USN may also be able to be resolved – the Atomic Energy Commissions’ Albuquerque Operations Office, under the direction of Assistant Director of the AEC Division of Military Application Lawrence Preston Gise was the primary point of contact for the Operation Fishbowl high altitude nuclear test series.

Documented evidence for these theories:

  • Department of Energy footage declassified partially or in full in 1998.1
  • A Department of Energy commissioned report in 1984, showing instrumented aircraftarray and position during Bluegill Triple Prime test.2
  • Scientific Deputy Commander of Joint Task Force 8 for the resumption of atmospherictesting in 1961 (Operation Dominic) was William E. Ogle. His report “AN ACCOUNT OF THE RETURN TO NUCLEAR WEAPONS TESTING BY THE UNITED STATES AFTER THE TEST MORATORIUM 1958-1961”,3 completed after Ogle’s untimely death in 1984 provides most of the scientific details as evidence for the basis of the theories posited here.
  • Three KC-135 aircraft were refitted with instrumentation to capture data of the Bluegill Triple Prime test. At least one aircraft had the instrumentation operated by Edgerton, Germeshausen, and Grier, Inc (EG&G) under contract to Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory for Task Unit 8.2 of Operation Fishbowl, the high-altitude test program for Operation Dominic.4
  • Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory (LASL), Sandia Laboratory and Lawrence Radiation Laboratory (LRL) had instrumentation onboard the KC-135 aircraft. The Defense Atomic Support Agency (DASA) also operated one or more of these KC-135 aircraft.5,6
  • Ogle states that two of the KC-135s were almost directly below the nuclear detonation to film the fireball and X-ray phenomenology in the first few microseconds of the blast, whilst the third aircraft was located at the conjugate point several hundred miles away to observe cloud formation. Using the aircraft array positions and aircraft tail numbers from the DoE commissioned report, the two aircraft from which the footage was filmed have been identified as those designated KETTLE 1 and KETTLE 2.7,8
  • The theory that two or more laboratories analysed their assigned footage independently and then proposed differing classification levels is supported by both well documented animosity between LASL, LRL and DASA9,10 and scientists involved in Operation Fishbowl and follow-on analysis.11
  • The slow-motion footage that I have labelled “KETTLE 1” clearly displays a flaming object tumbling from within the fireball. The fact that this is an unexpected event is demonstrated by the EG&G camera operator moves the camera focus away from the nuclear fireball momentarily to search for the tumbling object. In doing this, the operator has lost vital data of the first microseconds of fireball growth, which was the entire reason for filming it.12
  • The slow-motion footage that I have labelled “KETTLE 2” shows the effect of high energy X-rays on the atmosphere and is termed the “Alpha” effects. Alpha is how fast he neutron population double and is very important as a fundamental measurement of how well the fission process is actually taking place.13 **At the declassification review in 1998, the Defense Special Weapons Agency team led by Dr. Byron L. Ristvet applied a large white triangle as a sanitization device on the KETTLE 2 footage, within the area of the fireball that the object can be seen tumbling from in the KETTLE 1 footage. As the Originating Controllers (ORCONs) of the two pieces of footage were individuals from different laboratories, it is posited that this is the root cause of the classification discrepancy between KETTLE 1 and KETTLE 2. Dr. Ristvet is currently emp...

The object appears to be non-circular and spinning horizontally. I am unsure of the legitimacy, like most videos of course.

On Lou's live yesterday, he talked about his work with Grusch. Time: 27:43.

"Yeah, so I worked with David Grusch when he was - he had a lot of jobs. He was at times in military uniform as an Air Force intelligence officer. And then other times our interactions was him as a senior civilian with a three major agency...I'm not sure if I want to say what agency but...he can tell you." (edit) "...my relationship with him was we worked in a SCIF... actually it was a SAPF, facility for SAPs, where we managed certain aspects of the UAP effort for US Space Force at the time, where we had access to a lot of the videos and hyperspectral data and you know telemetry data.

And really at that point it becomes very compelling, you know, seeing really is believing you have something there in front of you that's taken by a very sensitive military collection platform that we don't necessarily want to admit we even have, or that we can put it, you know, over this place or that place and so a lot of that stuff remains protected. It's not necessarily the video itself that is super highly classified is how the video was taken, where was it taken how, what time was it taken. So, that stuff remains very very sensitive and understandably so."

So I am a skeptic. Or I was, I’m not sure how to phrase it, but today is my first day of believing and not just allowing for the possibility of what is going on. I have never put anything past the government but I was tricked enough to ignore the information as it became available. Obviously, the congressional hearings have pulled me back in, and have thrown me down the rabbit hole of recent documented sightings. Both civilian and military. So what do I do with this information now? Do I shout from rooftops? Do I try to see it for myself? Do I study? What’s going to happen when it becomes publicly accepted, which feels like soon? Do we hide in the woods? Advice is appreciated. Today feels different.

Original Title: Lester Nare: "Here's the reality: The executive branch holds all the cards. They have the data, the classified programs, the institutional knowledge. Congress? They're basically in the dark. They can't legislate what they don't know about."

I just saw this on X and thought it was a good analysis / summary. All the text below is copy pasted from that tweet chain or whatever its called nowadays:

After taking some time, I’ve tried to gather my thoughts about the UAP hearing as concisely as possible, and it starts with the idea that "information is 9/10ths of the law".

Here's the reality: The executive branch holds all the cards. They have the data, the classified programs, the institutional knowledge.

They could theoretically disclose UAP info tomorrow if they wanted, like @LtTimMcMillan pointed out.

And yes, this dynamic has existed for 80 years - from Blue Book to AATIP to today. Each era has faced the same fundamental problem: the executive branch's monopoly on information, exacerbated by stigma and lack of funding for independent studies.

Congress? They're basically in the dark. They can't legislate what they don't know about. Their only paths to information are:

  1. Executive branch cooperation
  2. Protected whistleblowers

This is why these hearings matter.

Consider last July's UAP hearing and the subsequent UAP Disclosure Act of 2023.

The partial passage shows what's possible when Congress starts getting information - but also highlights the limits when they don't have the full picture.

"Why don't they just tell us everything in the hearing?"

Because potential whistleblowers need protection first. And you can't write protection laws without understanding what you're protecting against.

See the catch-22?

Here's another layer: The information is intentionally siloed and stove-piped. Maybe 8 people on Earth have the full picture. Everyone else sees fragments, without understanding how their piece connects to others.

This increases the risk of collateral damage of any disclosure.

And these insiders? They've spent careers in a culture of "need-to-know," where secrecy is rewarded and disclosure means career suicide.

When we say "just tell all," we're asking them to break decades of institutional conditioning and programming.

They are not like us.

Each hearing builds on the last - not just recent ones, but decades of efforts.

We're not starting over; we're building on a foundation that includes everything from Bluebook to the 2023 amendments.

For example, the dozens of pro-disclosure or on-the-record statements by officials in both the legislative and executive branches since last year's hearing, and many explicitly as a result of that hearing.

I get the frustration with these hearings feeling incomplete - but they're like building a foundation. Not as exciting as the final reveal, but absolutely essential for what comes next.

Looking at history, major disclosures of government secrets typically came after:

  1. Mass data collection programs leaked (Snowden 2013)
  2. Catastrophic public events (9/11 Commission)
  3. Years of investigative journalism (Pentagon Papers)
  4. When oversight totally failed (Church Committee)

But here's the key difference: Those involved conventional classified programs where thousands had access.

UAP programs are different - operating in deeply compartmentalized spaces where even agency directors might not have full access.

You can't leak what you can't access. And when information is this fragmented, even insiders might not know what they don't know.

Yet people expect movie-style revelations. There's no precedent for that kind of disclosure, especially for something this compartmentalized and complex.

But here's where it gets interesting: We now have multiple pro-disclosure cabinet nominees in key positions in the upcoming administration.

The executive branch's grip on information might be loosening.

This convergence - of historical precedent, institutional knowledge, executive branch allies, and congressional momentum - is unprecedented.

It's not that we're starting over. We're finally reaching critical mass.

The information asymmetry is starting to shift. Yesterday's hearing isn't only about what was said - it's about who gets to decide what happens next.

That's the real story to watch.

Well isn’t this convenient. If this is true I think we could be seeing a change in the way the government approaches uap/ufo. Or it’s just the same old and then they come back with… “yup see super state of the art and didn’t see anything”. It smells a bit of that as well. Still good to see the wave that’s currently happening after the congressional hearing.

I’ve heard a lot of arguments from skeptics, but I haven’t heard of a good reason why a lot of credible people high up in the government would be risking their safety, career, and credibility for a known lie? Are so many of our top military pilots and personnel so easily fooled by prosaic objects in the sky and bogus whistleblowers? Why would they lie about it? What would the benefit be? Who are all these supposed fake whistleblowers and why are they wasting their time? Why waste their time looking into this stuff when they could be working a nice job without the worry and headache of a bunch of nonsense?

Yes, there are a few people who may be profiting off of it, but many are not and even claim their safety is in jeopardy. The few that are selling books, doing paid appearances, podcasts, etc. are they really making that much money? If all of this is found to be a lie and nonsense in a few years, it doesn’t seem to be a good long term strategy. UFOs seem to generally be a very niche market and carries a stigma with it.

Grusch for instance has testified under oath (penalty of perjury) about information and he said he has had threats to the point he has contacted law enforcement (filing a false police report is a crime).

Not sure if anyone has posted this.

The Senate Armed Services - Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities, has a scheduled hearing for Tuesday, November 19th at 3:15PM.

"Closed hearings to examine the activities of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, to be immediately followed by an open session in SD-G50."

Sounds like they really want to keep the ball moving / maintain momentum on the subject.

Reason for the article is the now released “Annual Report on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena” by the DOD. Although NOS is very skeptical about the subject and simply copy the narrative of the US government, they do seem to take it more serious than ever.

George Knapp’s “Investigation Alien” on Netflix is Terrific

I think it’s #3 on Netflix’s top shows this week. George Knapp calls out and exposes AARO for being a fake-news obstructionist organization. He does a good job weaving in different key UAP disclosure faces (Vallet, Nolan, Grusch, Fravor, Graves, Mellon, etc etc).

This is an excellent show to get the masses more informed about this important topic.

When you're filming uap, don't stay zoomed in on the object. You can try to get a couple closeups but they are normally blurry anyway.

Stay zoomed out and try to show something else in the scene. The landscape can be used to track the movement of the object. Try to keep a reference point stationary in the video, and let the object move around. Don't follow it with the camera unless it moves out of view.

Edit: also there may be more going on in the scene. Sometimes uap emit smaller objects. There's a chance we could catch some of that if the surroundings are also visible in the video.

Cheers, y'all! Happy hunting!

Due to recent coverage of the UAP discussion and the congress hearing this question just came up my mind… If they really exist and if they were present for a longer period of time, how SICK would it be if they got real video footage of past time periods?

Just imagine seeing ancient armies battle each other in a real video showcasing the real event, like I‘ve always wanted to see ancient Rome in person

What do you think?
