Before this hearing a report was released that says that UAP reports are not attributable to foreign adversaries.

  • Has AARO Changed it's approach to UAPs now that it has a new Director ?

This may be purely anecdotal, but I have noticed a strong uptick in videos regarding UAP following tbe Hearing last week - particularly on TikTok. These videos are receiving hundreds of thousands of likes and millions of views. It's definitely not a product of my algorithm being geared toward the topic; I had a friend tell me, unprovoked, that he had seen "heaps of UFO videos on TikTok recently."

Seems to be a positive result from the hearing.

This past week in Disclosure:

Nov 11-17 – Several of Donald Trump's recent appointees are broadly aware and in support of UAP transparency efforts

As President-elect Donald Trump begins to form his administration, several notable appointees have emerged who are all broadly aware and supportive of transparency vis-a-vis the UAP topic.Nov 11-17 – Several of Donald Trump's recent appointees are broadly aware and in support of UAP transparency efforts

This includes:

Nov 13 – Joint Congressional Subcommittee holds a UAP Hearing titled "Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth"

Serving ostensibly as the follow-up to last year's historic Congressional UAP Hearing, a joint subcommittee (including the House Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs and the Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation subcommittee held a hearing to explore a variety of observations and allegations regarding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon (UAP).

Witnesses who were called to testify included Lue Elizondo, Tim Gallaudet, Michael Shellenberger & Mike Gold. All witness bios, and their written and verbal testimony has been archived and summarised for convenience on this page.

Note – a more comprehensive and integrated summary will be published following the conclusion of the Senate's own UAP Hearing on the 19th of November.

Nov 14 – "We don't know whose they are. We don't know what propulsion they use. We don't the tech. We don't know it. It's not off the shelf stuff."

Speaking to Askapol – Senator Gillibrand made several notable statements (see above) and elaborated on her goals for the upcoming Senatorial Hearing on UAP:

“I want [AARO] to show all the examples of what they figured out, [and] of what they can't figure out yet.”

Nov 14 – "We need to create a UAP Select Subcommittee and pass Rep. Burchett's UAP Whistleblower Protection Act and UAP Transparency Act" – Rep. Burlison

In the aftermath of the Congressional UAP Hearing, several House Reps. have once again stressed the need to leverage stronger and more investigative tools to clarify the UAP topic once and for all.

Rep. Mace echoed Burlison's sentiment:

"I think we opened the door for additional hearings, & how we need to protect our whistleblowers as we get the answers the American people are owed. "

Nov 14 – AARO publishes its latest UAP Report

The Pentagon's UFO office (under new leadership, namely one Dr. Kosloski) has published the latest unclassified version of its UAP report.

According to the release

"AARO resolved 49 cases during the reporting period, all of which resolved to prosaic objects such as various types of balloons, birds, and UAS (see Figure 2). An additional 243 cases were recommended for closure as of June 1, 2024, pending peer review. These cases also resolved to prosaic objects including balloons, birds, UAS, satellites, and aircraft."

However, the report also notes:

"AARO determined 21 cases merit further analysis by its IC and science and technology (S&T) partners. None of these resolved cases substantiated advanced foreign adversarial capabilities or breakthrough aerospace technologies. AARO is working closely with its IC and S&T partners to understand and attribute the 21 cases received this reporting period that merit further analysis based on reported anomalous characteristics and/or behaviors."

Nov 14 – “The U.S. Gov has not been transparent enough about what it knows. UAP transparency is a marathon" - Sen. Mike Rounds continues to push for a UAP Review Board in a new statement

In a statement following the Congressional Hearing, Sen. Rounds (one of the architects of the UAPDA legislation) said:

“The U.S. Gov has not been transparent enough about what it knows. UAP transparency is a marathon [...] it will likely take time to find the right balance between protecting our national security and an acceptable level of disclosure,”

According to Matthew Pines, who attended this event:

"Sen. Rounds voiced a very firm determination to push UAP transparency & presented Lue w/ an accolade in recognition of his tireless efforts.

Rounds made it very clear 'UAPs are real' but that 'disclosure is a marathon'. He is going to push hard to establish the UAP Review Board"

Nov 15 – "We’re not ruling [extraterrestrials] out” - new AARO Director Dr. Kosloski signals a more open-minded approach

Following the release of AARO's latest UAP Report, their new Director – Dr. Kosloski – spoke to several reporters, and had some intriguing things to say:

"There are interesting cases that I do not understand and I don’t know anybody else who understands”

Also, in reference to this small but ultimately most important category of truly anomalous incidents that have been reported:

"There are definitely anomalies. We have not been able to draw the link to extraterrestrials, [but] we're not ruling it out."

Nov 15 – New FOIA release reveals that Police in Canada collected debris after a UFO was shot down over Lake Huron in February 2023

An RCMP spokesperson indicated the following to CTVNews:

"Following reports of unidentified aerial objects observed in the Great Lakes area and elsewhere in North America, multiple searches were conducted by the RCMP with the support of the Canadian Armed Forces. Debris has been recovered from the shores of Lake Huron but after careful analysis, it was determined not to be of national security concern."

It is not immediately clear why this wasn't made public back in 2023 when this shoot-down originally occurred. Instead, it was reported at the time that official search efforts had been suspended without result.

Things to look out for in the near future:

November

Beyond/currently unknown

  • Following the UAP hearing on the 26th of July, Members of Congress have called for a select committee with subpoena authority, to “go about the task of collecting information from the Pentagon and elsewhere” on unidentified flying objects. There have been conflicting messages from various Members of Congress on whether this is likely to happen anytime soon. Note – a select subcommittee was formally requested on March 13th.
  • Reps. Moskowitz, Luna, and Burchett have repeatedly stated their intent to hold field hearings to overcome stonewalling from the Pentagon and military establishment "I think we [Congress] should try to get into one of these places [housing UAP evidence]...and if they won't let us in I think we should have a field hearing right outside the building...and the military will have to explain why that is." – Rep. Moskowitz (D) It is currently unknown when exactly we might expect that to occur, however as of Jan 12 – Rep. Luna [confirmed](https://twit/...

ICIG Thomas Monheim, who deemed David Grusch’s UAP whistleblower claims ‘credible and urgent,’ and CIA IG Robin Ashton have both resigned.

With allegations implicating the CIA in UAP crash retrieval programs, the question is: will UAP oversight finally become a priority for their successors?

The next step for disclosure is not going to be “show us the craft” “Where are the aliens”

It’s going to be showing that the department of defense is lying to the people. It will be when we have a name and a face of someone directly lying to our (senators) face, and then being confronted with direct proof and involvement. It will be finding someone involved in immaculate constellation, not telling them you know, then getting them under oath and springing it on them.

Aliens or ufos as proof will literally prove nothing. The black budget programs still exist. Things are still kept secret. We genuinely need someone to expose one of the people doing it infront of all of us. I’m not waiting for some “oh just forgive all of them and they will tell us the truth”. That’s not happening. We’re going to get proof and data and expose people in a big setting.

Let’s say we do get pictures of the tic tac and amazing video. Well who TF took it all of the Nimitz? Which programs operate with impunity? These are the questions because these are the people blocking us off.

Disclosure is exposing the truth of the programs. Aliens have been around for forever. Secret programs to disinform, lie, kill, and manipulate the public using tax payer dollars isn’t.

ALIENS WOULD BE PUBLIC INFORMATION OTHERWISE.

All this stuff behind national security? News flash, humanity is more than just these nations we’ve fabricated. We’re all in this together. The idea we can’t share because a Chinese man or a Russian Woman may learn about THE REALITY OF OUR WORLD AROUND US is absurd. How about we fucking work together instead of screaming how to stop China. They are people too.

Let’s stop being xenophobic degenerates and get information out to the public. Sick of being part of a system that enables this.

Original Title: Head of Pentagon’s UAP office to testify to Senate Armed Services subcommittee. The new director of the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office is scheduled to meet with lawmakers in closed-door and open sessions tomorrow.

 - The new director of the Defense Department’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) is scheduled to meet with lawmakers in closed-door and open sessions Tuesday to discuss his organization’s activities investigating “unidentified anomalous phenomena” that have raised national security concerns.

The hearing with the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities comes on the heels of the release of the Pentagon’s fiscal 2024 consolidated annual report on UAP.

UAP, an acronym that refers to unidentified anomalous phenomena, is a modern term for UFOs and mysterious transmedium objects.

AARO leader Jon Kosloski told DefenseScoop and other reporters last week that his organization has received over 1,600 UAP reports to date, stating that officials have “taken meaningful steps to improve data collection and retention, bolster sensor development, effectively triage UAP reports and reduce the stigma of reporting a UAP event.”

With Dr. Jon Kosloski set to appear before the Senate tomorrow for an open hearing on UAP, it’s important to approach this event with tempered expectations. Based on his recent remarks and operational insights, we can better understand how AARO plans to continue operating—particularly its approach to transparency and information sharing.

Firstly, I want to start off by talking about compartmentalization of responsibility. Let’s be clear, AARO does not take a comprehensive role in all UAP investigations. Once a case involves known technologies like UAVs or UASs, AARO hands it off to other agencies. Dr. Kosloski clarified this approach during the media roundtable:

“Once we know that it’s a UAV or a UAS of some nature, we then hand that responsibility off to one of our partners.”

He also used Langley as an example:

“So Langley being a great example. It was known to be UAV activity, so we were there in a supporting role, but it was not our responsibility to address that.”

This compartmentalization continues to creates silos, where different agencies handle specific aspects of UAP incidents, reducing the likelihood of cohesive investigations or comprehensive public disclosures.

Even when AARO gathers data, its conclusions often remain ambiguous. Dr. Kosloski highlighted this during the media session:

“It remains to be seen whether or not that additional data is going to be sufficient for us to either resolve the case, understand whether it’s a UAV, bird or balloon, or say something substantive about the nature of the unknown phenomenon.”

Such ambiguity preserves uncertainty around unresolved cases, making it challenging for the public to gauge progress.

It’s especially important to note that even resolved cases undergo a lengthy declassification process before they can be shared. Dr. Kosloski admitted:

“We’re working on downgrading several of those cases, so we can talk about them publicly.”

This suggests that the public won’t immediately receive answers, even for cases AARO has resolved.

Furthermore, it has become evident that AARO relies heavily on partnerships with other entities across the intelligence community and Department of Defense:

“We’re working closely with the services to implement existing reporting guidance while expanding UAP reporting to more of the interagency.”

Unfortunately, it’s clear that this outsourcing leads to fragmented investigations, where no single entity has a full grasp of UAP activity, making comprehensive analysis and public disclosure more difficult.

While tomorrow’s hearing may offer some insights, it’s unlikely to deliver groundbreaking revelations. Expect careful wording, a focus on scientific rigor, and reassurances about AARO’s commitment to transparency. However, due to the compartmentalized nature of UAP investigations and the slow declassification process, significant disclosures are improbable.

To me, this feels like it may be a continuation of the obfuscation of truth, but I know that the hearing is part of a broader process that will require patience, as AARO works within the constraints of interagency collaboration, compartmentalization, and classified data.

Let’s hope for clarity, but remain realistic about the pace and nature of disclosure.

As someone that really just doesn't feel anything with a whole bunch of anecdotal evidence that might or might not align with certain beliefs or evidence, this week's explosion to ufo/uap after the US congress talk got me curious.

Is there a tread, post or summary about things that we are 100% capable of saying with information currently known?

We all really want certain things to be true, and some things, based on a bunch of different sources and reports, might very well be absolutely true. But we don't know for certain. What DO we know 100% certain?

Around 27 hours from the creation of this post, there is a second hearing about UAP scheduled, this time in the senate and focused on AARO and their work under new leadership - but I don't see a whole lot of conversation about it yet. Can we get some more info on that, like:

Who will be present? Just AARO leadership and members of SASC? Are we gonna have anyone from this community present for the public part of the hearing? Any reporters/media? Would be great if we can get the corridors crowded again, continue to show public interest and engagement!

Is there any way to submit questions, if yes to whom? Would be a shame if all they talked about was the latest report, we don't get a whole lot of opportunities for direct communication with AARO, and I'm sure we can come up with a few questions we'd like answered by someone other than Sue Gough for a change. Some things that would interest me:

Is AARO currently still employing a cybersecurity company specializing in plugging leaks and silencing whistleblowers?

Is AARO currently still being advised by a mostly anonymous council, accused of being run by alleged gatekeepers of UAP programs? If so, how is that still permitted? Has congress been made aware of who these individuals are by now?

Why is Kirkpatrick being allowed to publicly speak as if he were still representing AARO? He hasn't been in charge for I think almost a year by now, is he still being kept in the loop about current investigations? If not, when was the information cutoff point - if he has not been involved for months, how could he possibly comment on current investigations with any degree of accuracy?

Have the many witnesses who felt insulted by AAROs handling of their testimony under SKs leardership been asked to come back for another interview, conducted in good faith this time?

Have cases that had previously been improperly solved or dismissed become reopened? The "Movie Production Lighting Balloons" come to mind. If so, will AARO publish a correction at some time?

Can AARO explain why it continues to refuse to use the proper term "NHI" instead of "ET/Alien"? And what exactly are their criteria for assessing the origin of UAP? What bar exactly would have to be met for an object to qualify as technology of non-human origin?

What tools are currently at AAROs disposal to investigate alleged UAP programs? Do they currently have Title 50 Clearance/Special Agent Status/Subpoena Power? If not, why not, and what is being done to get them the kind of access they would need to properly investigate programs that are alleged to be classified as "Above Top Secret"? Surely they can't be expected to produce results if their primary method of investigation remains to call the CEO of Lockheed Skunkworks and politely ask them if they are doing anything illegal? And surely any companies, departments, programs, etc, that have been "investigated" in this manner previously would have to be questioned again with the new tools and methods granted to AARO - "IF" they in fact have been granted to them?

Why is AARO allowed to only ever discuss solved/mundane cases? If there are objects behaving anomalously in our skies, where is the data? If AARO can't solve those cases, why is the data not made available for study by civilian scientists in order to figure out what's going one? Is there any sort of communication about these incidents with civilian pilots? Surely any such information would be vital for pilots in order to ensure flight safety and avoid (near-) misses? What are their capabilities? Are there any observable patterns in the way they behave? Do they get "provoked" by certain actions? Is there a recommended protocol for interacting with UAP, should they become a hazard?

Feel free to add your own thoughts!

Original Title: Lester Nare: "A legal expert pointed out that the executive branch doesnt hold all the cards. The real power dynamic isn't about what the executive branch can do - it's about what we've all accepted they can do without challenge. This is undefined territory"

Once again im copy pasting the thread that @lesternare posted on X. Its a followup to the previous reddit post, about the executive branch holding all the cards.

Important clarification from my previous thread:

I said "the executive branch holds all the cards." A legal expert pointed out this isn't actually true - and perpetuating this belief might actively harm disclosure efforts.

Here's why:

There's a crucial legal distinction between leaking classified info to the public and providing it to Congress.

Congress has explicit constitutional oversight powers - including over classified programs, SAPs, and even waived SAPs.

This is fundamental to separation of powers: Congress's oversight authority isn't a courtesy granted by the executive branch - it's a constitutional right.

The legal framework for Congressional disclosure varies by position.

The Lloyd-La Follette Act of 1912 explicitly protects federal employees' right to communicate with Congress - but this primarily covers Title 5 civil service employees.

For intelligence community and national defense personnel (Title 50 employees), it's different.

They're covered under the Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act (ICWPA), which requires specific procedures through Inspectors General for Congressional disclosure.

This creates two parallel tracks for Congressional oversight: direct communication rights for civil service employees, and structured disclosure channels for intelligence personnel.

Different paths, same destination: Congress's constitutional oversight role.

Here's what's fascinating:

When these established channels are followed - whether Title 5 direct communication or Title 50 ICWPA procedures - there has never been a successful prosecution for bringing classified information to Congress:

Even more telling:

There's never been a successful court challenge to Congress's right to receive this information - even for the most sensitive Special Access Programs:

So how has the executive branch maintained such tight control?

Through:

  • Administrative barriers
  • Strict interpretation of disclosure channels
  • Psychological conditioning
  • Career implications
  • Complex compartmentalization

But notably, not through proven legal enforcement:

Yes, SAPs and controlled access programs have special protections and restrictions.

But Congress's constitutional oversight authority applies even here - and the proper channels exist, even if they're often portrayed as impassable:

This means when we say "the executive holds all the cards," we're reinforcing a power dynamic that exists mainly because we believe it exists.

The procedures aren't barriers - their perceived impenetrability is.

The real question isn't whether mechanisms exist to bring classified UAP information to Congress - they do.

It's why we've accepted executive branch interpretations that make these mechanisms seem impossible to use:

The real power dynamic isn't about what the executive branch can do - it's about what we've all accepted they can do without challenge.

That's a very different conversation.

And to be clear: This isn't to say the outcome of a legal challenge is predetermined in Congress's favor.

The point is that this boundary between executive and legislative authority over classified info has never been fully adjudicated.

It's undefined territory - not settled executive branch dominance.

(This is not legal advice and open to further clarification.)

I just posted this link as a comment on someone elses post (which contained a short section of footage from this film, but which appeared to combine it with a very dubious autopsy of something that looks like a monkey). In order to give you guys an alternative source, and also introduce those of you who haven't seen it to this rather classic UFO documentary, I am posting it again as a proper post. The autopsy part appears to be completely different. Hope you enjoy it.
