I’m in finance. Have nothing to do with tech. It’s interesting to me and I’ve always been into tech stuff but not professionally

The good thing is we are fighting the good fight here. It’s somewhat exciting to be part of a swing state. I’m voting in every election and trying my best to mobilize others also. I could probably do more…

I’m from Georgia. But I’m from Atlanta which is a big city. Obviously she’s a nut job. She’s from a tiny tiny district that has only like 10,000 people.

This is the result of gerrymanding such that you get heavily concentrated districts and have insane people who run unopposed.

She does NOT represent the entire state. We voted for Biden and have two democratic senators. We are very “purple” but trending blue.

I’ve been to Italy many times (wife’s from there). Yes the pizza is amazing. Yes in almost every case. Yes they do not understand pineapple on pizza.

But they are wrong. Those fuckers sometimes put boiled eggs and shit on there which ruin it.

Just because somewhere invests something doesn’t mean they have ultimate and final say. Hamburgers came from Germany and I know our fatasses got those things perfected here.

Pineapple on pizza is amazing

If this is in the US employment contracts are virtually nonexistent.

If a policy doesn’t discriminate against a protected class, it’s pretty much legal. Your recourse is to find another job.

It’s the fault of the trans athletes and books that use the word “gay”!

Really? I’m struggling to find good communities. Seems like mostly old memes and political articles. Any recommendations?

People off most cultures drink, not just westerners. See Japan.

Also people have drank for thousands of years and I’ve not seen any studies showing there’s more drinking now not that that hypothetical increased drinking has increased cancer rate.

Yes it’s obviously bad and causes cancer.

Sorry that wasn’t very well written.

The point is that alcoholics are not MORE drunk than non alcoholics on 8 drinks. They are just as hammered (but not more) than non alcoholics. The problem is that they THINK they are not as drunk while a nonalcoholic may recognize their impairment

That’s not quite right. Alcoholics do tolerate lower level of alcohol (4 drinks) than normal people. But once they get to 8 (which they do - remember these are alcoholics) they don’t get more drink than a normal drink person but they are more than twice as drunk as before and they are less drunk than they really are.

The amount of communist and nazi shit I’m getting is unsettling.
