Is this supposed to be a bad thing? Honestly I don't want the guy holding the nuclear launch codes to be making decisions on a few hours of sleep, no matter what your age is.

Yes, it is a bad thing when the guy who is supposedly the most powerful human being on the planet has the sleep schedule of a 12 year old housecat, and spends like 15 hours a day in a horizontal position.

How is this even a question?

[–] Shdwdrgn@mander.xyz 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

So now you're just projecting what you think his schedule is? Just because he doesn't want to have events scheduled at all hours of the night doesn't mean he actually goes to bed at 8pm and doesn't wake up until 11am. Any normal person needs time to eat dinner, time to unwind before going to bed. Hell I start unwinding around 7pm but don't go to sleep until almost midnight. Maybe you're just one of their weird people who requires zero sleep but the rest of the planet actually takes time to relax so they can get some decent sleep and be up early again the next day.

There was literally an article this week that mentioned how he starts working at 11am every day. He also has a daily nap.

lmao

[–] happybadger@hexbear.net 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Yes. Seemingly everyone else can stay up past 8pm. He works from 11am to 4pm with a nap in between. They're obviously lying because he's obviously sundowning. If this is your standard for a politician, why even bother?

[–] Shdwdrgn@mander.xyz 3 points 2 weeks ago

Who says he's going to BED at 8pm? That's ridiculous and not even vaguely implied here. Get a grip.

@yogthos on this one point, same tbh

The end result of bourgeois "democracy" and voting: Choosing between two geriatric rapists who can't stay up past 8:30pm.

Jesus fuck. He's too old and displaying signs of aging that are incompatible with leading the country. He needs to step aside.

Do you know how many problems would be solved if the nation wasn't run by workaholics, but by people who expect to retire at a reasonable age, while they still have some life to live?

57 is the oldest we should elect a president to their first term, so they are done with gainful, serious work by the age of 65. The only work someone over 65 should be doing is profiting from enjoyment of a useful hobby.

I mean there's reasons we shouldn't let him run, but its because he's actively funding and supplying arms to commit a genocide. Don't you think that matters more than if he wants 8 hours of sleep or not?

Fuck, I want 8 hours of sleep. All laborers should be able to get a 32 hour work week and a solid 8 hours of sleep.

But nobody should be able to commit genocide.

[–] Zeratul@lemmus.org 0 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

True enough. I agree. But I also think the age is a serious part of it too.

[–] delirious_owl@discuss.online 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Are you saying that old people are more likely to commit genocide than younger people?

[–] Zeratul@lemmus.org 1 points 2 weeks ago

Lol I guess I am.
