She's an indoor and garden cat and we just moved, so this is totally new to her.

She is keeping her distance and both me and my neighbour are watching closely.
If a lawnmower hits a rock, it can project it with deadly force. That’s why lawnmowers have guards on the side facing the driver, and warnings to stay a dozen or more feet back.
Good point. I'll take care not to let her out when the mower is running.
