Ohh plague tale, and Ghost runner 2 are two games I have yet to buy but been on wishlist since release loved the first entry for both of them. Also Zoeti looks pretty cool. Might have to pick this one up.

I believe a difficulty slider in a game specifically Elden Ring would destroy the game design. Biggest example is my own experience after walking out the starting area seeing and having that horse fella as the first thing I saw and tried to kill for longer than I would like to admit (before going to Google) if there was just a slider to slide down so I could kill that guy I would have never learned how to play the game and explore and kill bosses to level up. Not saying sliders don't work in ANY game but I just think it would ruin the experience of elden ring.

Yea I bought one humble bundle (some earthquake relief or something) and now I have like 150 games I will never play....

Aye hopefully steam does something similar with achievements and trophies etc.

[–] Blxter@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 month ago

Cheers thanks for the information I kinda just assumed it just worked... Lol

[–] Blxter@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 month ago

So your saying it should have never worked even if I was not using docker? Like when I just used the VPN client and normal qBit client? Sorry if dumb question.

Also it's now working.... I have no idea

I have been using this config for qBittorrent for awhile and been working for the most part. Sometimes it gets "connection status: Firewalled" I would fix this by going to settings -> connection and click the "Random" button a couple times and save and then it would work again. This seems to not work anymore. Is there a better fix for this? Back before I used docker I don't remember ever having to do this. I have never done any kind of manual port forwarding my current VPN provider does not do that at the price I have it for right now. Let me know if you need more information about my setup or something

Thanks I guess it is just randomly breaks for now since it appears to be back.

After reading this thread I hope this is true I have had 2 laptops plugged in one for like 5 years non stop (this one I deactivated the battery in BIOS it's old) and the other for about a year...

I agree with everything but the controls problem you are having I had no such issues. Are you playing with controller or mouse? I did controller.

[–] Blxter@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 month ago

Honestly there pivot has me more interested in the game than before.

Could be wrong but I don't believe it was arrowheads decision to let him go.

I had a 1060 and upgraded to a 3080 ahile ago. For next upgrade most likely will do AMD unless Nvidia can convince me to go with them again

Edit: So a solution I just found is that if I remove the second DNS from my router (1.1.1.1) then all traffic goes through adguard. This works but if I go on vacation and my parents are still home and this device dies or something then my mom will have no idea what to do...

Hello,

I have adguardhome running on a raspberry pi via docker compose. I once had tailscale installed on it but it has sense been uninstalled.

Using for example my phone when at home if it is on my tailnet the adguard works as intended and blocks ads trackers etc. But If at home and disconnected from my tailnet it does not go through adguard at all. So all my family members do not have the benefit of this and anything not on my tailnet. I would rather have it work for everyone and not sure how to fix or where I went wrong in the setup.

For the setup guide for adguard it says

AdGuard Home DNS server is listening on the following addresses: 127.0.0.1 172.18.0.2

So I added 172.18.0.2 to my /etc/systemd/resolved.conf file because before it had only DNS=127.0.0.1. This seems to have not worked unless I need to restart for it to take effect looks like this now

# Entries in this file show the compile time defaults. Local configuration
# should be created by either modifying this file, or by creating "drop-ins" in
# the resolved.conf.d/ subdirectory. The latter is generally recommended.
# Defaults can be restored by simply deleting this file and all drop-ins.
#
# Use 'systemd-analyze cat-config systemd/resolved.conf' to display the full config.
#
# See resolved.conf(5) for details.

I have been using Linux to game now mostly for around 1-2 months and halo infinite runs but runs like crap compared to win 11. When I run the game on windows I get 144 fps almost constantly on Linux I get 70-80. I am new to this and not sure what to tweak or change to get it to run better if anything. I play via steam using proton experimental. The mouse movement also feels off like I have mouse acceleration on or input lag.

Other games I have played have ran just as well on Linux as windows.

Edit: OS is Linux mint

Thanks

I often used this site to download flac songs that I was unable to find on SLSK or other torrents. Is there an alternative to this site that anyone knows of. It will be missed.

I can not get rpc working on vesktop flatpak version on linux I have followed this https://github.com/flathub/dev.vencord.Vesktop/ and still no game activity. I have asked many times on there discord but with no help...

I am open to changing discord clients to whatever etc if someone has one to suggest

I have been trying to set up everything over on docker and have came across an issue where large file sizes (4K tv episodes etc) fail to download at all where 1080 (small sizes around 1 gb download just fine to same location).
Edit: an almost 8 gb season can download just fine but a 4.35 file will not and the 3.8 GB one will work (same TV show and name besides EP number)

I just pulled new image to attempt to fix but did not work. I found this but it tells me nothing or I think nothing.

Error message from logs:
(/downloads/Constellation.S01E02.HDR.2160p.WEB.H265-SuccessfulCrab[TGx]/constellation.s01e02.hdr.2160p.web.h265-successfulcrab.mkv) error: File too large"

file size for above are 9-10gb

Edit: there is a teaser with a trailer tomorrow.

Whenever I try to remote into my Linux machines I get an image that looks like attached the. Remotings into Windows works fine. Do u have to use another application? What do y'all recommend?

Hey, this might be a dumb question but I would like to know the differences of these two images for plex or other docker images.
I am new to using docker and would like to know the differences if there is one in using one over the other. I can not seem to find anything about this.
Thanks

Visits to music piracy websites went up more than 13 percent last year, a new report says. The majority of those visits were to sites that allow users to download the audio from YouTube URLs.
