Of course there's a way, it's quite easy. First, you're gonna want to go to the community. Then,

If someone can't find the big "Block community" button, maybe duct tape over the eyes is more suitable for them.

[–] locococoa9613@lemmy.world 32 points 1 year ago (2 children)

They're posting in the wefwef community, so it can be assumed they're using the wefwef web app. When I use it, I don't see that button. I may have duct tape over my eyes though.

I was literally just trying to find how to block a community on wefwef too. Cannot find it at all and I'm pretty savvy usually

[–] Nothus@infosec.pub 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I don't understand having a special app to browse a single website, but to each their own.

[–] BackStabbath@lemm.ee 28 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Because it's straight up better. Why would I want to use a website on my phone? Apps are just more convenient/have nice UI. Wefwef does happen to be a PWA, but it's way nicer than just using the default website. Can't wait for Sync to come out.

[–] Nothus@infosec.pub 20 points 1 year ago (4 children)

Better, oh yeah? Try blocking a community on it! ;)

[–] Goldmage263@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 year ago

Hah! Got em.

[–] BackStabbath@lemm.ee 4 points 1 year ago

Haha that's the limitation of wefwef so far. But like I said, I'm waiting for Sync, which will definitely have that feature (and so do the other apps).

I use Jerboa and it's awesome, oh and there's even block community button ;)

Jerboa has a block system lmao

[–] wheresmypillow@lemmy.one 4 points 1 year ago

Ah yes. The Big Block Community also known by many as BBC. You always wonder if it fits comfortably or were there painkillers involved.

Dumb question, because I’m new here, but what is 196? I saw the rules but it didn’t really explain what the sub is for

[–] GigaBowser@lemmy.world 26 points 1 year ago (3 children)

It's a community where the "rule" is that you post before you leave, and your post title must contain the word rule. Basically it's just random silly images and because there's no set theme for content, it has a low barrier to entry. That's why you're probably seeing a lot of it.

[–] ryven@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Your post doesn't actually have to contain the word rule, people just started doing that.

[–] Tylith@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

You're wrong it's actually federal law.

[–] AndyGHK@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah many people are saying actually that’s in the constitution

[–] jdeath@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago

of course it is, abraham lincoln invented the rule

[–] Established_Trial@lemm.ee 5 points 1 year ago

That sums it up perfectly, thank you!

[–] danny@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago

Oh what I thought I read that it was for lgbt queer posting or something.. idk anymore

[–] riquisimo@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

The rule is post before you leave.

[–] atlasraven31@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

Rule is a cancer that must be cut out at the source
