Have you ever heard of this cool niche kernel? How was it called?.. Uhh, I think it was Lunix. Or was it Linux? Yeah, Linux!
Its userbase is pretty small, I bet nobody heard of it on such a tiny platform as the Threadiverse

Someone should really make a !gnu+linux community in the vein of r/linuxcirclejerk
Angry upvote ...
Why? Because they're mine and they need more love.
I can think of a German Forest-Fairy, thatβs known by name: Holla.

I help run the place, so I'm biased.
Anyway, the instance is wetshaving focused, which is to say we use all sorts of nice shaving soaps, razors, blades, etc, and talk at length about it.
A mini event is in the works that most of the regulars are taking part in. Everyone is being mailed a small sample of the same soap, and on July 17th we're all going to use it and give our thoughts.
It's niche, and we know it, so we're open to answering questions, etc.
Wets having what?

That is cool and I love that there is an exchange starting, that is rad.
Mid 30s and still can't grow a beard or moustache. There is no hope for me.
nice. I just use a beard trimmer around my throat lol
I want to plug the communities I created, but I'm always afraid that's going to be a divisive comment. I have zero desire to really "moderate" anything, but I do have communities that I would love have some engaging conversations in, as well as places where people can exchange helpful info and advice. I am planning to make a community for cleaning and organizing tips and discussions.

I need that.

I remember this thing way way way back when, and it was mentioned in the news? It had some kind of really neat visualization thing screensaver? Lines and lines of colors, with some spikes, going from further back towards the viewer and...
I couldn't find that part again. I loved that, need the useless neat part
If you like comedy, there's a stand up show called Kill Tony. Comedians sign up and get 60 seconds to do their best bit/s. I post the link every week to the sub !killtony@lemmy.zip. Check it out if that would interest you, we would love to be more active in the community.
Just started a writing club in !writing@slrpnk.net so I'm partial to it. But it is very quiet there.
I've got vague designs on livening the place up, so it's been in my thoughts a bit.
Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn't work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !badrealestate@feddit.uk
!withoutthepunchline@lemmy.world
All communities that I moderate (on my .world account) and all pretty inactive. I'd love to see more cropped memes!!!
Is there anything youβre interested in?
well I've used the search bar to find everything I can think of. I haven't been able to find a good sopranos shitposting community, or anything similar to the benzodiazepines subreddit
I like corn dogs.
i can't link it. That is how cool we are. [noncredibledefense@sh.itjust.works]

Thank you. I am a mobile browser peasant.
Iβve never used Lemmy on anything other than my iPhone. Iβm too lazy to sign in on desktop.
Same same. I tried one app in the very early days and it was just one more password. Our crude peasant huts are peaceful and we shall thrive here. Unless it rains idk
Please link via [!community@domain.com](/c/community@domain.com)
otherwise it doesn't work for other instances.
There you go
Naw dude you just broke it.
They are telling you to remove the markdown links entirely, and just plain write the names of the communities, they will turn into local links on most clients.
