Maaan anime on an old CRT TV at 1am really hit different.
Or maybe it’s because back then I was staying up for fun and not from the crushing weight of existence.
…no it was definitely the CRT.

Go out and buy a CRT. Chase that dragon.
I honestly would if I had the shelf space for it in my apartment.
…unless I swap out my PC monitor for a CRT…🤔
Look for one with svideo or component. 2001 & newer Sony usually had them in my experience
I'm grateful that the crushing weight of existence is an instant sleep aid for me.
I can fall asleep at will, any time of day or night,
and the more stressed-out I am, the more instantaneously I can drift into sleep. I sleep through a lot of existential angst.
I have the most lovely dreams. Every time I fall asleep, such kaleidoscopic cinematic lovely peaceful dreams.
See You Space Cowboy...
Still one of the best gut punch endings of all time.

All of Watanabe's series endings have been thoroughly excellent.
Dude can really spin a tale.
A LONG TIME
