Is it bad that I just love built-in Chrome/Google auto-fill manager? Is this not safe? Autosync to Android does it for me + the fact that i can auto-generate and save/fill passwords seamlessly without having to switch between apps

It's safe but it doesn't work well with non-google apps

It works on every field coded as login correctly no?

It's fine, as long as you enable 2FA for Google and make sure to maintain access to the account you're secure. It won't have all the fancy features that some of the other apps have, but if it works for you then it's good.
