I left shortly after the HD-DVD fiasco. When people talk about the Digg migration, this is what I think of. Looks like there was another mass migration years afterwards

Going from memory, people started posting the HD-DVD decryption key and Stuff started removing all references to it to comply with take down orders.

There was a fair amount of controversy around it.
