The real reason: McDonald's in the US only sells McRib when pork prices are low enough to make a huge profit.
Germans have the McRib year round because pork prices are low.
They also buy enough pork when they do bring it back to bring the price of Pork up single-handedly.
Can people even tell that the mcrib is made from pork?
