Summary

💥 Strike on S-400.

On November 23, 2024, a missile strike was carried out on the S-400 air defense system in the village of Bolshoe Zhirovo, Kursk Region .

The strike was carried out by three ATACMS ballistic missiles.

The air defense missile system was in a non-combat condition. Repair work was underway.

As a result of the strike , a 92N6E radar station and two launchers were destroyed . Five division officers were killed ( including the commander and chief of staff ), and three employees of Almaz-Antey JSC were also fatally wounded.

Dead officers:

• Solodovnikov Maxim Nikolaevich, major;

• Zavorin Sergey Vladimirovich, captain;

• Pechenkin Nikita Nikolaevich, senior lieutenant;

• Kodzoev Yusup Adamovich, senior lieutenant;

• Podlipalov Aleksey Maksimovich, lieutenant.

The aid package included generators, M113 spare parts, weapons, and ammunition, according to the ministry's post on X.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and his Lithuanian counterpart also reportedly discussed plans to equip Ukrainian brigades, provide ammunition, strengthen air defense, and expand defense industry cooperation between the two countries as "key priorities" for 2025.

Attacks on two DTEK solar farms last spring is a good example. They destroyed many solar panels and some of the transformers, which step up voltage for long distances or step it down for use in homes. Replacing the transformers and swapping out destroyed panels allowed the farms, which generate 400 megawatts, to be back up in seven days.

Timchenko said an attack on a thermal generating station, which experienced a similar amount of damage, took three to four months to rebuild.

Defense forces of Ukraine hit the S-400 anti-aircraft radar station of the Russian occupiers

On the night of November 24, units of the missile forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, launched a group attack on the positions of the anti-aircraft missile division 1490 of the 6th anti-aircraft missile regiment of the Russian Army in the Kursk region.

A successful hit to the radar station of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system was recorded.

It should be noted that this unit of the Russian Armed Forces conducted combat operations in the "land-to-land" mode, that is, hitting land-based stationary targets. Civilian objects and peaceful residents of settlements in the front-line regions of Ukraine mostly fall under such shelling by the Russian invaders.

Combat work on the military objectives of the occupiers continues.

France has authorized Ukraine to use French-made Scalp long-range missiles against targets in Russia for self-defense, aligning with similar decisions by the U.S. and U.K.

Ukraine has already used U.S. ATACMS and British Storm Shadow missiles to strike Russian military facilities, killing senior commanders and injuring a North Korean general.
